Kuratorium Pfahlbauten at CHNT Vienna 2016

At the Conference on Cultural Heritage and New Technologies (CHNT) which takes place in the town hall of Vienna from November 16-18 2016, the Kuratorium Pfahlbauten makes three contributions:

On Thursday, November 17th from 9.00-10.40 is a round table, organized by Carmen Loew: Target Groups, Users, Followers, Fans – The Nature and Potential of Social Data in Archaeology.

On Friday, November 18th there will be two lectures in the Session Photogrammetry in Underwater and Aerial Archaeology from members of our team:

Henrik Pohl and Ronny Wessling of crazy eye will be on stage from 11.40-12.00. They will talk about our collaboration in the research project “Zeitensprung”. The title is “Systematic SfM and MVS-based documentation and interpretation: The underwater excavation of the Mondsee culture settlement Seewalchen/Attersee, Upper Austria

Together with Marco Block-Berlitz and others Cyril Dworsky will speak from 12.00-12.20 about our collaboration with the german research groupe Archaeonautic at lake Mondsee. The title is “Archaeonautic: Low-cost and efficient 3D Videogrammetry meets Palafittes at Mondsee/Austria”.

Das Kuratorium Pfahlbauten wurde im Jahr 2012 von Bund und Ländern ins Leben gerufen, um den österreichischen Teil des internationalen UNESCO-Welterbes „Prehistoric Pile Dwellings around the Alps“ stellvertretend für die Republik Österreich zu betreuen.
